There is a growing interest in Folk culture. The Folk Union is an online space for conversations about that interest. We host Folkmoots. These are online gatherings and pannels where people working with, or interested in, folk culture can meet, talk, and share perspectives. It’s simply a place to hold conversations that might otherwise not happen.

The Folk Union is a union in the older sense. A loose association of people choosing to organise around shared concerns, to support one another, and to pay attention to the cultural commons they share. It’s not an authority, an arbiter, or a governing body. If you feel like the Folk Union’s values align with yours you can sign our Charter.
